New CEO for Precise Biometrics appointed

The Board of Directors in Precise Biometrics has today appointed Stefan K Persson to new CEO. Stefan K Persson is today Executive Vice President BO Home within the Bang Olufsen Group. Stefan will assume his new position at the latest on August 1, 2018 and until then will Göran Thuresson, CFO, be acting CEO and Torgny Hellström Executive Chairman. Current CEO Håkan Persson resigns with immediate effect. 

Precise Biometrics revises full-year 2017 revenue and operating results guidance

Due to the strong competitive situation for Precise Biometrics´ customers, sales have not increased in line with the company´s previous projections. Therefore, Precise Biometrics revises its revenue guidance for the full-year 2017 from previous guidance of around SEK 83 million to revenues in the range of SEK 60-70 million. Due to the weaker sales development, the company will show an operating loss, which deviates from the previous guidance that the full-year 2017 would result in an operating profit.

Precise Biometrics divests its Mobile Smart Card Solutions business area to IDENTOS

Precise Biometrics has concluded an agreement with German IDENTOS GmbH on the takeover of the Mobile Smart Card Solutions business area, which includes the business operation involving smart card readers under the Tactivo™ brand. This entails Precise Biometrics further increasing its focus on the Fingerprint Technology business area and freeing up resources for the development and sales of fingerprint technology.

Rutger Petersson, Director of Research and Development and member of the management team is leaving Precise Biometrics for a new assignment as Analytics & Insight Manager at Verisure Innovation AB. The search for his successor has been initiated.

Resolutions at Precise Biometrics’ annual general meeting 2017

At the Annual General Meeting (the “AGM”) of Precise Biometrics, which was held today on Tuesday May 16, Anna Almlöf, Torbjörn Clementz, Torgny Hellström, Matts Lilja, Mats Lindoff and Synnöve Trygg were re-elected Board members. The AGM also resolved on the implementation of an incentive program for the company’s employees.
