Precise YOUNiQ
In Precise YOUNiQ, you are the key. No tags, access cards or other physical devices are needed to ensure a high level of security.
Precise YOUNiQ uses biometric technology for identification and grants access by recognition, meaning the YOUNiQ system processes biometric data of its users.
Personal data must always be processed in accordance with the GDPR and must always have a legal basis. The legal basis can vary for each data controller who uses Precise YOUNiQ system for user identification.
Biometric data, which is used for the user identification in YOUNiQ, is a special category of personal data according to the GDPR and it can only be processed under certain circumstances, such as when the user has given his or her explicit, unambiguous, freely given and informed consent to the processing of his or her biometric data for specific purposes.
Explicit consent means that the data subject has expressively given consent for the processing of his or her personal data. Unambiguous indication means a statement or a clear affirmative action. Freely given consent means that the data subject has a real choice of consent. Informed means the data subject is informed about the processing to which he or she consents and for which specific purposes the data is being processed.
When using the YOUNiQ system as a controller of personal data, you are required to process personal data in accordance with the GDPR. The GDPR demands that you as a data processor must have a legal basis for your processing of personal data and always inform the data subject about the processing of their personal data in a privacy policy. We recommend every controller to carry out a data protection impact assessment prior to the processing.
We are happy to help you with fulfilling the requirements of GDPR for your processing of personal data when using the YOUNiQ system.
