Joakim Nydemark appointed new CEO for Precise Biometrics AB

Today, Patrick Höijer leaves the role as CEO of Precise Biometrics AB (publ) at his own request. The Board of Directors of Precise has appointed Joakim Nydemark, former Executive Vice President and CCO Algo, as CEO, who will assume the position today.

”During his time as CEO, Patrick has contributed to strengthening Precise's stance, positioning the company for profitable growth. The company has implemented a successful reorganization, realized synergies from the acquisition of EastCoast – the company having the same cost level as before the acquisition – and completed a rights issue that secures the company's financial position. In addition, new sales channels in the US have been established and annual recurring revenues have increased”, said Torgny Hellström, Chairman of the Board of Precise Biometrics.

“Patrick himself initiated a dialogue about how the company should be managed going forward, as we are entering a new phase, and what leadership is best suited in that regard. Patrick ultimately decided to end his employment and step down from his role as CEO. The Board would like to take this opportunity to thank Patrick for his hard work and wish him good luck in his future endeavors”, adds Torgny Hellström.

Joakim Nydemark, born 1971, has extensive sector experience within tech, software, and telecom with previous leading positions at companies such as Crunchfish, Anoto, TAT, and Teleca/Obigo. Joakim is a Board member of Crunchfish AB (publ) and holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Lund University.

”Joakim has extensive experience within the industry and a profound understanding of our company and business. This, coupled with his leadership, has formed the basis for the Board’s decision to appoint Joakim as new CEO”, continues Torgny Hellström.

“Taking over the role of CEO is an honor. I am grateful and excited to be entrusted to continue building Precise. We are in a good position to continue developing the company, focusing on winning new customers, increasing recurring revenue, and building a structure that enables long-term growth”, says Joakim Nydemark.

Patrick Höijer will during the six-month notice period be at the disposal of Precise, supporting the company in a transition phase. No severance payment will be made.
