Fingerprint spoof lab
A turnkey lab for internal spoof analysis and image database collection.
Fake finger detection and spoof mitigation
Fake finger detection and spoof mitigation is an on-going effort at Precise Biometrics and its lab affiliations at Clarkson University. These efforts and the resulting knowledgebase of spoofing measures and countermeasures insure that Precise Biometrics’ Liveness Detection and Spoof Mitigation technology continues to evolve and provide best-of-breed performance in the on-going fight against fake finger authentication.
Fingerprint sensor manufacturers, and system integrators alike, are demonstrating increased awareness of and concern over fake finger detection, but many need a ‘starting point’ of knowledge, processes, lab supplies and artifacts to begin building their own countermeasure solutions. The Fingerprint Spoof Lab offers these organizations a turnkey solution for establishing just such a starting point, thereby saving them substantial time, effort and funding in becoming proficient at liveness detection analysis, and spoofing countermeasure solutions.

Supplies and equipment for spoof creation
One-time, starting physical inventory of all supplies and equipment necessary to produce an inventory of spoof specimens sufficient to capture a 5,000 spoof image data set for either a single optical or swipe technology sensor, (5K live and 5K spoof number of images is the minimum recommended size of data set necessary to implement Precise Biometrics’ Liveness and Spoof Detection on a single sensor).
-
Information for maintenance of inventory
All necessary information for the maintenance and future provisioning of this inventory, including sourcing information, shelf life information and material substitution options. Appropriate lab production and safety supplies are also included.
-
Spoof and mold material knowledgebase
Ingredients list, recipes, Material Safety Data Sheet info, shelf life info, and other knowledgbase items for each spoof and mold material.
-
50 unique spoof specimens
Approximately 50 unique spoof specimens, derived from among 15 – 20 unique spoof materials, multiple mold materials (3), and multiple fingerprints (3).
